Yeah, that’s right.

I don’t believe in facts. I don’t trust science. Both are created by humans, and humans are flawed. Our beliefs do not exist in a vaccuum, but are rather socially constructed in a sexist/racist/prejudiced, royally fucked up system. Facts are rarely useful, as they are often used to justify the status quo. They stop people from using their own judgement to examine our world. In short, facts are used to shut people up.
I believe in truths, and truth is subjective, not objective.
If you don’t trust science, how are you on Tumblr? How are you even alive?
You had one decent point “Our beliefs do not exist in a vacuum” and then fucked it up with some anti-science, solipsistic BS. Just because some scientists are biased does not discredit the entire field. That’s like saying education is bad because there are abusive teachers and schools.

i want to say this is in response to when she boycotted arizona and etc for sb 1070. she openly supports the dream act and blahblahblah, and there were some media campaigns done that were about, ‘we are all immigrants,’ ‘do i look illegal to you?’ and etc.
Yeah, I don’t see a problem with this. Actually a lot of the people who have been acting oh-so-offended by this obviously think the term ‘immigrant’ is some kind of slur. Seems like it’s a solidarity thing or a challenging people’s assumptions and prejudices kind of thing - and it obviously worked.
I think the problem people have with this is how she’s still in full Gaga-mode while trying to draw attention to a serious political issue.
